IMPACT AND PROOF

From Learning and Connection to Opportunity

CWA’s approach is built on practical experience helping learners, organizations, and entrepreneurs translate preparation and visibility into meaningful next steps.

Employer-Informed Biotechnology Career Training

Delivered a customized career-development workshop series for Santa Monica College biotechnology students preparing for internships and employment. Training included resume development, LinkedIn strategy, interview preparation, professional positioning, and employer-facing confidence.

Expanded Institutional Opportunity

Strong outcomes and relationships developed through the Santa Monica College engagement led to a referral to Pasadena City College. CWA was subsequently included as a proposed career-training partner in Pasadena City College’s pending CIRM Bridges grant application.

From Pitch to Business Opportunity

Through a founder conference and pitch competition created by Ethiopian Legacy, CWA’s parent organization, Guzo Coffee gained visibility, received a cash prize, and developed three immediate business opportunities. The experience illustrates CWA’s broader model: bringing the right people together and helping promising talent convert exposure into relationships, contracts, and growth.
